Twitter Update

Hi all. It's been a while since I've gotten anything published between the frequent travel that I've been doing as well as this new AWESOME writing job! Nonetheless I have time stored aside for you and I wanted to update you on some things I've been seeing about Twitter.

As I said in my last post about it, Twitter is a very valuable resource to take advantage of, even if you think the concept is stupid.

Some may ask, "why would I find the concept stupid?" and the short answer is this: facebook, myspace and other social media sites that I've been using for LONGER than Twitter offer the SAME service.

This is true.

What is also true is that Twitter is SUPER easy to accumulate lots of "followers" through. All you do is follow them first! Facebook and Myspace are great to meet new people in the area or old friends from school, but Twitter is a social MAGNET. I will even tell you the best way to get follows in return for you following people first...

Type in "Mike Dillard" under the search feature, browse his friends and just hit "follow" for as many as you can stand. These folks are all going to be internet marketers who will more often than not follow you after you follow first.

That's the first Twitter assignment! Mike is a GREAT business coach who provides excellent Boot Camp videos on internet marketing. He's also the guy who provides a few "Magnetic..." series programs. I haven't tried them yet but when you follow people he knows on Twitter, you can always get their opinions!

Back to Twitter...

See, I had somewhere around 700 people I was following at my early stage of Twitter and I had about half of them following me back.

Now I have 870 followers and 1,215 people that I follow. So, not only is my percentage of followers to followees increasing in my favor but I also now have more people following me than those I had even had EXPOSURE to within the first few weeks of using Twitter.

Like I said, it literally BLOWS UP your sphere of influence.

Also - I like Twitter because it's NOT ALL MARKETING! People put quips up, they post sayings, quotes, articles and more. It's just a great way to stay in touch with the world you know and love.

Lastly, I want to mention a tool that I saw for Twitter. I can't say more just yet because I have yet to try it, but I am going to be reviewing it once I get my hands on it. It looks to be a massive benefit to all who use it so I'm pretty excited to get my hands on it!

Teal and white will be recurring theme colors and I'm going to have a full visual experience within the car: tv, internet, DVD's and video games will be accessible via any one of four monitors. Ground effects, flowmaster, suspension, chip, and a new set of tires will get her started. I want to represent GDI in a chic, new way. A True GDI WTF Moment

So I have been working the Longtail Treasure course, as I have made mention of on my website. Up until recently I had not been too serious. I set up the basic structure but I didn't think that the 2nd tier PPC was important. I knew I had to do something to drive traffic, but I though backlinks and articles and social media marketing would suffice. Well, the results speak for themselves. Unusual Networking in a Usual Way

So I've been thinking about the opportunities for networking that present themselves during my normal job as a traveling sales rep at conventions and expos and I'm realizing that there are Network Marketers making TONS of money as a result of their presence at simple shows and fairs.

Now, I've come to understand that it's rather costly to get a position at any of these shows or fairs as a vendor: it's certainly not just a matter of "signing up" as with most of the online network marketing that has been done either by Brian Bear or myself. However, the personal feel of the conventions, the ability to field questions on the spot and demonstrate exactly what you offer through a well thought out script and a flashy presentation that catches eyes could boost any business tremendously. I've been thinking about finding out what it costs to be a vendor for some of these shows. If you could get ten signups each weekend and walk with 40 new customer/affiliates in GDI per month, you'd have $800 coming to you in bonuses through GDI and also the residual 40 for all of your leads (which will grow progressively each month).

Convincing people to join GDI has been a long, drawn out process of reiterating a few things:

1) It's free to join
2) Anybody can make money
3) It offers free web hosting
and 4) It's a global opportunity

Well, I've been taking a different route because it sounds too much like a sales pitch. People who are told that GDI is free to join and that it can make you astronomical amounts of money are either going to be really excited, join and then quit when they can't duplicate the success of their upline right away... OR... they're going to say, 'hey, that's some kinda pyramid deal' and walk away with a bad taste in their mouths.

GDI is NOT a pyramid deal NOR is it a get-rich-quick.

Just like any other business, it takes work, time and planning. HOWEVER... Here's what you CAN present to the buying public:

GDI offers domains. Pure and simple. It's expensive but you're getting the best, and.. oh, yeah. I forgot to mention too. You can make a secondary or even primary income off of it.

THERE.

That way you're putting the reigns in the CONSUMER'S hands. What's the problem with marketing to business people? You get more business cards than you get signups!

If you market the legitimate product that GDI provides then anyone who decides to JOIN GDI will do so based upon the quality of the services and products and they will LAST LONGER in your business because they are SATISFIED with the product they've signed up for: domains.

If you tell people that you can teach them to make hundreds and thousands of dollars with an internet, part-time, work-at-home opportunity, you had better be able to coach them to do so. Otherwise, you will look like a fool and your empire will crumble to the ground!

Point and matter here is that you can have a hundred signups in a day and sure, you'll get the bonuses and you may get the residual earning on their signups for a while, but if those 100 people decide that they're not getting what you said they'd get, they're going to leave! Thus, I've decided that it's more important for my business and my customer/affiliates to have access to information on how to get the ball rollin' with referring people to GDI but first to APPRECIATE THE PRODUCT ITSELF.

Here's a flow chart.

Say a company has a GoDaddy domain for 10 bucks a year. Woo. They think they're getting the cream of the crop deal because GDI is 120 a year for a .WS extension and they're getting a .com extension for 10 bucks! THERE'S NO QUESTION!!

Or is there?

Well, GoDaddy doesn't include web hosting. For basic web hosting, it's going to run you 5 dollars more a year. Ok? Big deal.

Now it's 15 dollars a year versus 120. STILL A MUCH BETTER DEAL.

This is where it gets dicey... GoDaddy HAS a network marketing program that they call their "ReSeller Program". For basic membership, it costs...

99 dollars a year.

So all in all, to get EVERYTHING that GDI offers in one lump package while MARKETING the idea of making a few bucks while ALSO getting great domains, GoDaddy saves you seven dollars a year and you're not getting the solid video presentations, the step-by-step "Wealth Guide" or the Forum where you can ask questions to other Affiliates!

The next step up with GoDaddy is their "Pro-Reseller Plan" and it costs 200 dollars a year. Given the comparison, it's obvious why GDI works. Everything that GoDaddy offers, bundled together all at once with instructions on how to get it up and running, PLUS all the support of your upline AND all of the resources GDI offers including the invite system, the 10 email accounts you can associate with your domain, and more.

Next time someone asks, "why would I pay that much when I can get it cheaper somewhere else", just refresh them on the old addage, "you get what you pay for."

Quickness of Trends: How Can I Keep Up With the Happenings

Google Hot Trends is a great way to find out what has been hot and what people are looking for when they scour the web. I integrated a section of news recaps based on the analysis of the hot trends on my page http://www.earnthegdi.ws under "Recent News" but I think I bit off more than I could chew!

100 top search terms each day, capsulized into a week's events, and then repeat the analysis, writing and researching every week. I'll tell you, this became a quick chore. Unless kept up on, it becomes a matter of absolute HELL. Right now I think I have somewhere around two month's worth of Hot Trends to analyze and I'm NOT looking forward to it!

I am committed to providing my news section, but between weekend work-a-thons and time with the lady, I'll tell you, it's no easy task. I want to take this opportunity to apologize for not being on top of the Trends every week and also ask you for your help.

No Real Job Posts: Why Craigslist is Turning Into A Compost Heap

I am not one to dish out negative criticism. I usually find the best in everything. Recently, there is one arena of marketing that has not been delivering. That's Craigslist. Since the institution of phone verification for their accounts, Craigslist has actually gotten worse. Just two years ago I could hop on Craigslist, pound out an hour of cover letters and resumes and get 2-3 actual responses and 5-6 autoresponders. Today if I did the same thing (which I do) I get 0 responses back. Zero. That's markedly worse. Perhaps people have lost faith. Perhaps the jobs are too heavily sought after. Either way, Craigslist is becoming less of a productive business tool and more of "a bunch of tools. This will streamline the process for newcomers because it will provide step by step instructions on what marketing systems work, which don't, and how to utilize the free and low cost channels I've found for you so that they best compliment your business marketing. Why Mobility Matters in Internet Marketing

Twenty years ago it would have taken 160 dump trucks to store the documents I have on my hard drive as paper files. Today, I have access to those files 24/7 with the push of a button and a few clicks to open MS Word. Why is it important for an Internet Marketer to have advanced mobility for their office and files? One word: demographics.

See, in business, the general rule for getting office space is the golden rule of real estate: location, location, location. Just because you love the place you live doesn't make it ideal for business. Population density may be too low or the people in your area just may not have the need for your product that people from out of town may. With a mobile office, you can literally bring your entire business with you on trips, vacations, or errand runs. Whenever an opportunity presents itself, the businessperson with a mobile office can more effectively address, file and/or utilize that opportunity to its fullest. For example: you get into a conversation with your waiter about your new opportunity and he's excited and eager to join. A typical businessperson will whip out a business card and refer him to a cell phone number or a web address. A mobile businessperson can capitalize on the time being spent with this prospect, launch a web browser, show off his or her site and potentially get a new subscriber right on the spot. Another scenario is mobile print marketing. If a mobile businessperson passes a new development, within minutes he or she can have dozens of flyers or brochures provided a laptop, a mobile printer and the software to create the marketing medium such as Print Shop or Photoshop.

All in all, mobility is the least integrated but most important advance that technology has afforded us. For the number of business-centered intranets available for cell phones on pre-provided software, how many companies actually use them? ALso, out of how many companies in the US there are, how many provide their employees with personal laptops to use for company business? Out of those, how many actually train their employees to be efficient with these powerful tools? It is a shame to slaughter the calf if you're not going to make veal.

What Do Aesthetics Have to Do With my Business

If you noticed, at http://www.jason-mueller.ws/hardware I have listed a couple of the toys I use to keep up with my business. One is an Alienware custom-built Aurora 7700 notebook and the other is a Touch Pro by HTC. How can these products serve more purpose than just looking pretty and performing quickly? Let me tell you.

Aesthetics are how something looks. My Alienware system for example is an eye-catcher. Lightup logo on the back, a futuristic design and a bright electric blue are sure to catch wanderers who haven't seen the likes of this system. In addition, it remarkably resembles the computer that Ben's sister uses in the children's cartoon series "Ben 10". This opens up all types of walk-up business. "What kind of computer is that?" or "how much did you pay for that thing!?" come up ALL the time. Little to say beyond this, I have at least one person come up to me and ask me about my computer whenever I use it in a public place.

Affiliate-based sales: set up a page where people can buy their own Alienware system or HTC product through Clickbank and watch your influence begin spreading. Granted, you may not be the coolest person on the block, but, if your STUFF is, then you aught to be able to earn for having referred others to the companies who so appreciate their business. I am still in the process of getting accepted by Alienware to put their products up on my site. HTC is going to prove more difficult than even Alienware.

Either way, these are few reasons why the color, shape and interface of your work-whereever station is important to attracting like-minded folks, or just the curious passerby!

YouTube - Leading to True Residuals

If you market then you know the importance of a well recorded, planned and executed video. I have found that YouTube is a great vessel to post your videos because it induces true residual results. For example, when I check my views before bed I always find a few more in the morning. Nothing beats advertising in your sleep! Now here I am today and folks from all over are contacting me regarding the opportunities I provide to earn some extra part-time cash. On a 24/7 schedule, my marketing videos are raising people's awareness about GDI itself: not just the income opportunity it yeilds. Other video marketing that reaches the number of people YouTube reaches could cost a fortune. TV advertisements, video trailers on movies and otherwise all cost astronomical amounts of money but YouTube is totally free. 5,000 Free Leads a Month, Twitter and What's New on EarnThruGDI

A few weeks ago I provided a link for a site offering 5,000 free leads on a monthly basis. If you didn't get the chance to check it out, click the headline of my last post. Now that I've had a chance to email market those leads, I can provide you an honest review of the services.

I sent an email with my opt-in for my newsletter to over 3,000 of the 5,000 monthly leads. While I hadn't gotten a response for a few days, I waited it out and eventually got a few replies. No hate mail: just questions about the opportunity. Granted, the response was from a fraction of a percent of those emailed, but, for a free list, I'm not complaining. That's pretty cool! So, my network is growing on autopilot! Now just to get the profits working the same way...

How I Just Made 888 New Friends and Why 589 People Now Know What I'm Doing When I'm Doing it

Wow. I said that I'd give Twitter a shot. I didn't expect it to be this powerful! After ONE NIGHT of powering away some follow requests, I was able to amass 888 people who let me follow their updates of short, 140 character blurbs throughout the day.

People LOVE getting followed!

On top of that, of those 888 people, 589 of them said, "Hey. This guy looks like a presentable fellow, why not follow him back?" And you know what? They DID.

So now whenever I say, "Hey, check out this new website" or "Look at me, I'm earning commissions" or even, "I just got heartburn from those wings last night", there are 589 people who will be fed a quick stream with my info.

Now for the downside...

Twitter streams CONSTANTLY. It's just an ALL THE TIME UPDATING MACHINE!!! That's great, but it makes it difficult to be seen amid hundreds, thousands, or even tens of thousands of updates depending on how many people you follow. Now, there are ways to get through this. First is Direct Messaging. You can contact another Twitter member relatively easily. If they say something that relates to what you're up to, let 'em know. If you see something you have an opinion on, this is the place to voice it. Also, there's what is called an @reply. This means that as people update, you can send them an update exclusively that will be classified and stored in a seperate area for them to check on throughout their day. This will also go through to all of your followers.

Overall, the downside is that the world is too big, but the upside is that Twitter is easy to use and you can amass large networks of new friends and contacts quickly through it. So, the upside is eating away at the downside. Meaning, there won't be a downside for long, once you get established in the Twitter community!

Twitter-iffic

Ok. Whoa. So I spent like, 2 minutes setting up an account on Twitter. It was painless. It was simple. Then I started networking. It's SUPER easy because all you have to do is hit "follow" on people who are following or being followed by anyone that has TONS of contacts. After about an hour of doing that, I checked my mailbox.

Lo and Behold, I had a FLOOD of mail from people that decided to follow me. I also had a boatload of people who directly responded to me, so I wrote them each a little blurb. That took somewhere around 3 hours.

This Twitter thing has got SERIOUS networking potential. I can see why there are so many major affiliate and network marketers who are raving about it. There are also cool features you can integrate like the autoresponder. Plenty of people offer tons of advice, so you won't be at a shortage of information about how to streamline your tweets!

I think my favorite thing so far about Twitter is that it has a search. There are hundreds of thousands of updates that stream through there every few hours and to find exactly what you're looking for, you just pop in a search term and you get EVERYTHING related to what you're looking for. How cool is that? All for the low cost of FREE.

Life is grand.

Now if I could just get all of those Twitter-ers to start Earning Through GDI... Then I'd really have it made!

Social Networking - Some Basic Things to Remember

First, if you haven't heard of social networking or if you totally missed out on ever 'creating a profile', please click on my link above. It will take you to a pretty popular site called Facebook. Facebook is a place where you can catch up with old schoolmates, you can keep track of what your kids are up to or even network for business or personal relationships.

Granted, most of you HAVE already heard of social networking, so I'll save you any more drivel about how to get started. What I'm getting at here is this: we forget what the social networking sites have to offer sometimes.

When's the last time you joined a new group?

the last time you changed your profile status?

the last time you updated your profile picture?

the last time you downloaded a new application?

When is the last time that you sought out new contacts either in your area or field of expertise?

These questions are only the tip of a very large social networking phenomena called, "Set it and forget it".

Once you're done setting up a profile, your work has only begun. There are plenty of things to do once you're involved. First of which being, MAKE FRIENDS! There are people with similar interests as you. Find them using a search! These don't have to be people that you'd spend your vacations with or hours on the phone talking to, but nonetheless, they are people and they are united with you in a common interest. We should be THANKFUL that we can do that! Let's show it by spreading our knowledge and experience while taking what we can from others'.

Also, think about the last application that you downloaded. Do you use it a lot? Maybe it's what we call "A Nattering Nabob of Negativism" in your life. These are the things that pop up and reinforce bad habits. For instance - my favorite is Mobsters on MySpace. My mob just grew by two people today. Those two people could have been two more affiliates in my network, IF I WERE PROMOTING MY BUSINESS RATHER THAN MY MOB. It's all about how you do it and how often. It's obvious that time spent on your latest addiction cannot also be time spent on your good ol' business, (sometimes it can and I'll get to that later).

Perhaps the most important thing I'd like to leave you with is this tidbit of intelligence. Social Networking means, in lay terms, communicating with people.... social.... AND... connecting the dots...... networking....

So when you put them together, you have a connect the dots game while communicating with people.

Don't leave your picture half drawn! Finish that thing up because there's a PRIZE at the end of that road folks!

Audacity... It's MY Business!

I was told by my coworker today that if I put in half the effort I put into my regular job into my internet business that I could be doing very well. What audacity!

I never want to put that much effort into this business. Why? Because this is a part-time business and I'm looking for the day when I can tell people who've joined my team that I built my entire business with part-time hours, and they can too.

Besides... I already DO work on my part-time business about half as hard as I do my regular job. I bring business cards with me everywhere I go, and, when I see an opportune place to deposit them, like vendor stands, bulletin boards and more, I post them up. I mention my business all the time and I keep a keen eye and ear out for folks who are looking to earn more.

Perhaps the most awesome thing about internet marketing is that there are SO many gurus out there. Many people have struck gold here: there are a wealth of people providing free information on how they were able to establish a base of residual wealth that reaches into five and six figure levels per month. What is the best? I don't know. I can tell you first hand that the LongTail Treasure series is great. Mike Dillard is a genius as well with Magnetic Sponsoring. Also, there is a new program that looks to be pulling people new leads and sign ups left and right called Attraction Marketing. LongTail is on my Resource Links page and the other courses are available to the public, of course, but I would prefer to keep the URL specifically for those of you that join my team. I will specifically refer you to Mike Dillard's free video series. It was a great resource.

A Duplicatable Business Where Customers and Employees Knock Down YOUR Door

Businesspeople know the value of a great system: it is efficient, it works to filter the "maybe's" from the "definitely's", it is easy to put into place and it draws a crowd of both customers and people interested in working with the system themselves. What a lot of businesspeople won't tell you is that whatever system they're using is usually 100% duplicatable given the right resources and funding. Not everyone has the money or know-how to establish the next McDonalds or Walmart after researching how those companies work internally. Distributors, health codes, zoning laws and more could stand in the way of you opening up a line of "Shmick-Donalds" of your own. There are endless issues with any business in operation and the reason new businesses fail is often because they don't have the list of mistakes that McDonalds or Walmart made along the way. Hence, they fall victim to the same traps! Since any new business that is based off of a McDonalds or a Walmart is by default competition to those chains, it doesn't play to their advantage to release the guides, "how-to-open a restaurant chain" or "how to open a super store chain". With all this resistance, how does an aspiring entrepreneur survive?

Simply put, you can't be a fish in the water.

Everyone knows that little fish get eaten by big fish. How should you manage? Well, that's easy. Stop being a fish and try something else. Marsupial, primate, lizard, etc. are ALL open area! People think fish are great examples when speaking of businesses, especially when comparing the small to the large. Fish are communal: they live in schools. One problem area is seldom mentioned: fish are neither maternal, paternal or very friendly with each other, aside from some odd symbiotic relationships that exist in the fish world... So what about mammals?

Take the marsupial. Mom rears her young in a shielding pouch. No harm will come to babies (aka: the noobies of life) because mom keeps them safe until they are old enough to take care of themselves. Also, marsupials are communal like fish, but, they will actually make friends amongst each other AND they will help each other out. They groom each other, they keep each other warm, and they even stay away from the neighbor's spouse, (they mate for life).

Everyone KNOWS that monkeys are good mothers. They also are one among few mammals that are intelligent enough to enjoy the act of reproducing! Be a monkey among monkeys with your business! Forget fish!

Lizards are interesting creatures: where some may interpret their stillness as laziness, they know EXACTLY how warm they need to be in order to keep blood pumping through their veins and they will stay put on a heat source until they KNOW that it is safe to leave. Lizards are somewhat maternalistic also, (or at least moreso than fish). They will lay eggs and hatch them by sitting with them. Lizards also have defenses against total destruction: camoflouge, teeth and poison are just some things that they use to make sure there won't be a bigger lizard out to eat them.

So at this point, you're asking, "this is a lot about animals but HOW does it tie into business?" Well, I have an opportunity for you that takes all of the best attributes of security, nurturing, and smarts that the aforementioned animals possess and uses them to overcome the "big fish/ little fish" issue.

For those of you that don't already market offline in the fleeting time we have between running a normal life, it's understandable that you may think you don't have the time. Earn Thru GDI is committed to your business' success and there are a few tips that may help you out.

Leverage the Power Players - How to Get the Most Out of "Being the Least"

Global Domains and any other network affiliate program, company or corporation will always have heavy-hitters. These are the guys who are getting the awards, the commendations and the big bonus checks. Considering they usually make up somewhere around 1% of the total population of any given operation, it's understandable that some folks get jealous or frustrated with their own performance. First thing I have to say about that is, "Don't get down on yourself because you're not there yet. Everything comes with time and maybe it just isn't your time yet." Next thing I have to say is even more profound: "Don't get mad, get even."

See, there ARE people making a boatload of money off of you no matter WHERE you go. Every time you go out and get Pringles, there's some dude running that corporation, sitting on his yacht eating caviar because you paid 5 or 6 bucks for something that he was able to mass produce for cents or MAYBE a dollar. That goes for EVERY industry and EVERY product.

So what makes internet marketing different?

Two big things - first, you get to SEE the person who's making the money off of your happy lil' butt. That means that even if you don't like that you have to pay for someone to get rich, at least you'll know who that guy is, for better or for worse. Secondly, internet marketing is a duplicatable system, so when other people are making buku money because you got involved with their team, it's usually because there's someone that THEY paid all THEIR money to for a long enough period of time until they got noticed by the general crowd and began making THEIR big money on... well... us.

So, if you know who's getting your money then you kinda become the consumer of your own boss. Which is cool. I like to know who I'm listening to and paying. Also, you're paying this guy because you joined the network under him. He's been in it longer and he knows more about how to get the program jump-started towards profits. He'll do everything he can to make your system like his own, (in that it'll be profitable) because when you profit, HE profits even more! So this is what I've found to be the best scenario.

If you've got a leaderboard on your system, like with GDI, you can see who the top ranking guy is at all times. You can also get a feel for position 2 and 3. If you have the funds to do it, a GREAT idea is joining the program with two seperate accounts (if it's allowed) under teams of both the number one guy and the number 2 or 3 guy (shoot for whoever you think is going to listen to your concerns). When you've got two super-human marketers that you're working with, you get all access to the tips and tricks from BOTH and you can develop a middle ground strategy that doesn't step on anyone's feet while also finding out which individual between the two is really working towards your success. Generally whoever helps you the most will be the person that yeilds the better results from your marketing efforts. Sometimes though, money makes all the difference. Some uplines have even been known to buy leads for their downlines that haven't filled their level 1 with anybody. This could be because the person paying for the leads will still get paid on referrals you bring in. For example, if I have a guy in my upline, three levels up, if I bring in 20 people on a level 1 basis then that's 20 more people in my upline's 5th level deep. So long as they still get paid for those joining, there's still a vested interest in investing.

Internet Business... You Choose.

So let this be a lesson to all entrepreneurs out there who are interested in branching out on the internet. If you've been doing business via a brick-and-mortar location using paper files for decades and calling the tough ones on your own, internet business will be a BREEZE for you. Get to it while you can, but be sure to click the title of this post for more information.

For those of you who are starting or interested in business ventures, let it be known that running a business is TOUGH work. If you have, oh... say, company cars, you would need special business insurance, you'd need to maintain registration on those vehicles, you'd need to make sure that all of your drivers are licensed and able to perform the duties of driving, you'd need to get business insurance itself, you'd need to do a price/earnings ratio for all of your products to determine whether your overhead has been paid for over the projected repayment term, you'd have to arrange payroll, you'd need to pay taxes on all the wages you paid, you'd need to file those taxes quarterly and a NUMBER of other little things that you may or may not think of all at once.

Not to say it's impossible, it's a great way to make a living. However, a lot of people are put off by having to remember a lot of things that they're not used to. If you're that guy, GDI is great for you. Why? Because all you need to do in order to be eligible for pay on the LEGAL scale of things, is submit 4 documents. Two documents are provided by GDI directly through the site and the other two are your license and a W-9 form so the great team at GDI can set up your taxes. After that, you're ON LIKE DONKEY KONG.

Also, think about the cost of a traditional business: you need start up investment and you need a lot of human resources. With GDI, we all agree to be affiliates. That means we work and we work hard at first, knowing that any future affiliates in our business will work hard also, which in turn will result in a larger and more successful business of our own. It's like a company: there'll be a few people who tag around and not do much, there'll be the usual workers and there'll be a few shining stars. If you're one to work hard though, the legwork you do will prove invaluable to you on the long term scale whereas with a traditional business, if you sell a burger on day one you never get paid for that burger again. It's sold and it's gone. GDI pays you repeatedly, month by month, on even the first recruitments, domain sales, etc. that you make.

That is why GDI is my choice for internet business versus traditional business.

They're relatively cheap anymore - you can get a decent one that does what you need it to for 500 dollars!

That being said, take a look at your base pay from your job. Have you been receiving the pay checks on a biweekly basis that cover living expenses and that's about it? Hey - that's awesome. Keep up with it - sustaining bills is important! However, if you yearn for a day where you don't have to pour ice into the soda machine to earn your cash, or for a day where you don't have to deal with the shenanigans of a dozen crazy employees then check out GDI. It's part-time work and with time and effort it will pay out a full-time income every two weeks, JUST FOR THE WORK YOU'VE DONE IN THE PAST. There's no hourly here - it's like dumping one grain of sand on a ball field on the first day you start working and then DOUBLING the number of grains you dump each day. After a year or two, that ball field is going to be one BIG, STUPID SANDBOX.

Why Earn Through GDI?

Searching for ways to make money online became somewhat of a hobby for me. Faint, glowing screen radiance would beam against my baggy eyelids after hours of hapless surfing. On more than one occasion I would find myself sitting and aimlessly searching Google for free, quick and easy ways that I could make more money.

I don't really know what I was looking for: ideally I think I was hoping for a way to click a link and have a dollar or two magically appear in my account after a few minutes. Not the kind of "opportunity" like Depacco which has video footage on YouTube proving it to be a scam... I really wanted the type of opportunity that would actually work. One where I could get the money added to a Paypal account. Immediately after my successful completion of a "point" and a "click"... and maybe a "wait"...

Under a year ago I happened upon a site called the SpiderWeb Marketing program. It was claimed as free and I said, "Hey! Maybe this is what I was looking for!" So, I joined. It was, indeed free. That is, the system was free. The affiliate links that it promotes have upgrade options. Also, the biggest earner in the system is GDI (Global Domains International) which has a 10 dollar a month charge for domain services on the .ws extension. Believe me, I wasn't pleased. I figured that it'd be worth it though so I went with it. To my surprise, it actually produced some results.

After six months with GDI on SpiderWeb, (3 of which had been totally useless as I had lost my job, I didn't pay my monthly dues and half of the people who were interested left because I wasn't there for them) I had established a downline of six people. A lot of people would say, "six? that's PEANUTS!" However, you have to consider WHAT I was doing to get those six people...

Absolutely nothing.

When I mean I did nothing I DO mean I did nothing. For three [3] solid months, I wasn't even IN GDI. I couldn't be because I wasn't paying the monthly cost because I lost my job. So. If I had 6 people for doing ZIP half the time, then there's no reason why I can't establish a working downline working part-time. I feel the same about you, whoever you are, so if you're looking for a way to earn online, this just may be your ticket.

Now everyone asks, "Why GDI?" It's a programmed response. When you go into a job interview it's important for you to ask what you're going to get out of the company. Who accepts a job without knowing what duties they'd be performing OR how much they're going to get paid? Not many people. So, inherently, when looking for a work-at-home opportunity it makes sense to ask, "why your company and not someone elses?" That's why this post is online. To answer, "Why GDI?"

GDI offers a massive income opportunity. You get ten percent of the dues that everyone you recruit pays. Generally the dues are 10 dollars a month per person. So, you get a dollar per person every month they're a paying member. At this point you may be saying, "I can't live on a few dollars a month smart-allec..." AND... you're right. That's where the multiplication factor comes in.

Say you get three people in your ogranization the first month. Whoopy, you got 3 dollars that month. Now say you get 3 more people the next month, but two of your current members bring in another person too. Now you brought in six people and from your first downline you have two second level downlines. That totals 8 people. So, you went from 3 in the first month to 8 in the second. Now lets say you have a slow month. You bring in one person. However, since you have 8 people, say three people bring in another person. Now you've got 12 people in the third month. In the fourth month you have a blow out. You bring in 4 people and six out of the twelve people bring in others. A few bring in two people and a few bring in one person. So, you've got 13 new members in one month. That more than DOUBLES your downline. What was 12 is now 25 and now it's time for something entirely different...

If 1/5th of those 25 people bring in one person each month, at the end of the year you'll be making 81 dollars a month on auto-pilot. Just because you started a part-time home business, you're making 81 dollars a month, EVERY MONTH on the work of everyone else who joined you.

Ok. Now here's where it gets fun. In that second year, you decide to do some work for a change, (you lazy bum, you...) so you bring in 2 people a month. Let's say NONE of those people bring in anyone that whole year. All they're doing is learning the ropes, (which probably won't be the case). Still though, you've got 81 people working part-time with you. Of those 81 people, ONE - TENTH of them bring in an average of ONE [1] person a month, (it's a slow year... kinda). That would mean that your people brought you 96 new members in that year.

You brought in 24... So... 81. Plus 96. Plus 24. That equals 201 dollars a month EVERY MONTH in the second year of doing this.

Now you're working on the part-time income level! What's even better about this is now, you've got so many people that you're hitting the leaderboards for bringing in 5 people in a week every once in a while. That's 100 dollar bonus, paid for the payperiod of the month of the week that you bring those people in. Say you hit the leaderboards three weeks out of 52. You also bring in one person a month every month for the third year, AND... One FIFTEENTH of your people bring in one person a month. Because of your people, you're making 362 more dollars monthly on top of the 201 you made before, so for year 4 you're making 563 a month AND you earned 300 dollars in bonus money. That's 7,056 dollars if NOTHING happened that entire 4th year. Again. That's probably not going to happen. In any case, you see how this can earn you money. I'm also being very, VERY mean and stingy about the figures.

To give you an example of the BEST case scenario, there's a guy named Tissa that works the leaderboards of GDI EVERY WEEK by getting over 50 people in his organization a week directly through his own referral power. None of the signups that his downline get count towards his bonuses. Just think of how much he makes when a third of the people he has brought in over the past year bring in just two people a month... At 52 weeks a year, bringing in 50 people a week... That's 2,600 dollars on auto-pilot just from the people he brought in. Now if 1/3rd of his FIRST level downline bring in 2 people... That's another 1,733 dollars a month.

OK? So, if you were wondering if this works or not, think of Tissa. Tissa is CONSERVATIVELY making $4,333 a month on auto-pilot, WITHOUT BONUSES. Now, every week he gets 1,000 dollars for bringing in 50 people every week. So. That's another 52,000 dollars yearly. That means that he makes $4,333 residually based on the number of people in his organization... BUT... he also makes $4,333 (literally just a coincidence that the numbers are exactly the same) in bonus money for bringing in high multiples of 5 people each week.

When this all boils out, good old Tis' is making $8,666 dollars a month because he sponsors people like CRAZY. Do I expect you to be like Tissa? No. Would that be AWESOME? If so, then BE LIKE TISSA! I won't stop you! LOL.

Be as much as you can be with this system. The beauty is that it pays you based upon your performance AND it pays you residually.

I know this post was a lot of number crunching but for those that read through, I'm sure that you're understanding how GDI earns you money a bit better than you had before.

It all starts small. What was 3 signups was over 7,000 by the end of 4 VERY conservative years. Let's all remember one thing too - we just spent 8 years of conservative bullion and we're now approaching 4 glorious years of liberal spread.

A Quick Word on Phone Etiquette

There are few things that I enjoy less than sitting down in an office chair and having a list of calls to make when all the names, numbers and data I have are all unfamiliar. Despite my feelings about cold calling, it is an essential part of business that we all must become familiar with to establish a higher degree of success in both our professional interactions with clients as well as our general communication with others.

A call to a lead for Global Domains is NOT a sales call. You don't have to sell anything to your premium leads because they've already viewed the presentation video. You're simply doing two things by calling them: first you are affirming that they saw the video in its entirety and second you are asking if they are still interested. If you've joined GDI and haven't seen the "GDI Step by Step Wealth Guide" then you aught to invest the time to read the 14 page manual that GDI provides to all of their back office affiliates. Note that there are some great follow-up procedures that you can learn by reading that manual. Also, there are some pieces that you are going to want to shrug off, for example, investing money into ordering DVD's when you can simply link to the video presentation using the internet. Point blank - your calls to your leads should be short, to the point and informal: they've already either tapped to fold or been sold on GDI. There is nothing you're going to do that will change their minds. Simply answer their questions according to the projections and facts that GDI provides and ask the critical question: "are you interested in joining my team?"

One thing that you can do to provide reassurance to people while not "selling" to them is being confident. You know all the answers are in the video. Make sure you find out if they've watched it entirely. This will be a filter on who's serious and who isn't for you, off the bat. If they watched it all, they're probably serious. If they watched a few minutes then they're thinking about it but they're still not committed. Don't divulge too much information about the company over the phone - you have a presentation video so that people can get ALL the information DIRECTLY from the source. You are a representative of GDI: YOU ARE NOT THE COMPANY ITSELF! Many people make the mistake of "plugging" how great a system is when they could just as easily be themselves and let their leads make up their own minds. You provide them the resources and THEY are the ones that will make a decision. Don't risk saying a lot of things that don't speak loudly to your potential team-members while on the phone. Simply reply to their questions given the information you learned from the video and then reference them back to the video itself. They will get the idea and things will go much smoother for you.

Lastly, the phone is a more personal interaction with your potential team-members than sending an email. You have the opportunity to describe YOUR situation. Let them know why you decided to join GDI. Let them know about how you're working to help. By all means, let them know that this company provides a great service for a reasonable price and that if they don't join, someone else will. This will establish your position as the SUPPLIER of a great service rather than the CONSUMER of a great service. When you're a consumer, it's all about what you're getting. When you're a supplier, it's all about what you're providing. When you come off as a customer on the search for a downline you intend on making money on, you lose credibility. When you come off as a supplier of a world of knowledge, resources and value, you THEN become a powerful agent towards your own success.

Find Your Niche

Niche Marketing is an often asked about topic regarding search engine optimization. As defined for the ideal marketing conditions, a niche is a small area of internet space that is specific, targeted and available. For example:

A general topic may be business. If you were marketing your business it wouldn't be a great idea to establish a web presence based on the keyword of "business". The reason being, your listing would show up in the hundred-thousand range if not worse as a result of all afore-listed businesses that have higher hit counts, more back-links to other webpages and higher ratings on Alexa and Google (Search Engine Listing Companies).

So is your online business marketing sunk? No.

Say your business is in sheet metal. You could try "sheet metal business" as a keyword phrase.

Chances are you'll find fewer companies using "sheet metal" in their tags than those using "business". This increases your chances of reaching a #1 rank on Google.

You still may be facing the trouble of competition in getting that #1 spot though. Maybe a competitor in the sheet metal business has the top spot and won't give it up. To narrow even further, try something like "sheet metal small business" or if you're running a larger operation, use your demographic of exposure such as "local sheet metal business" or "national sheet metal business". This will bring your site to the front of the page ranking and thus, your niche would be NATIONAL SHEET METAL BUSINESS. Thus, your efforts should be to market a few things:

First - Your national presence.
Second - Your Sheet Metal Selection/ Your Specialization in Sheet Metal
Third - Your business (practices, background, certificates, affiliations, etc.)

Lastly, when working on a niche market, your goal is to get AS HIGH on the page ranking as you can for your Niche. Dominating a niche will bring your page ranking higher for more general keywords. For instance - if you dominate "national sheet metal business" and keep rank 1, you'll start showing higher on searches for anything "national" as well as anything "business".

A way to do this is to check for these factors when you begin your research by searching for your niche:

I. Look for keywords that bring up a total of around 300-400 results.

II. Make sure you're searching for the keyword IN PARENTHESES.

III. Be willing to compromise! If your sheet metal is known for its warranty but there are 40 pages listed with better warranties than yours, try a couple other aspects of your business that people may find JUST as good as what you've been known for in the past.

By finding a niche of your own you will be able to expand your GDI business more efficiently than if you'd work to establish within a keyword series such as "earn through GDI" or "earn thru GDI" as I have already begun building and establishing this niche. Take over a niche, build a bunch of links related to it and earn the first, second and third pages on Google results for your keyword phrase. That will make your top-level site exposed and ripe for viewing and conversions!

... 500 Mobsters on Myspace... People with Over 1,000 Friends? This Idea Has MERIT!

If you haven't taken the time to read the last blog - jump to the part where I'm talking about Mobsters and the ease of integration or relation between getting 500 Mobsters who each in turn have 10 other Mobsters in THEIR mobs to getting 500 contacts in GDI who all get 10 people in THEIR downlines...

Ok so I didn't realize QUITE what I had said until it sank in... I am 500 computer nerds away from being a very wealthy individual.

We all are, in fact. What's best about it is that you don't need to have the SUPER computer nerds who know how to program. All you need is the computer nerd who takes the time to grow in affiliate networks. It's the SAME work as GDI and they're not even getting paid for it... For less than a quarter of what most people pay for internet service these helpless trolls (myself included) have a legitimate business that works like a social networking tool that PAYS FOR ITSELF after 10 people join you AND makes you many, many, many, many dollars when you soup it up like a lot of people do through Mobsters, Heros and more just on Myspace alone.

Facebook is ridiculous too - I spent at least 10 hours a week working my way up to Dark Lord of the Sith on the Jedi vs. Sith application when it came out. I answered so much Star Wars trivia it made my eyes bleed.

What I'm getting at here is that for the same redundant and simple actions we take every day, we could be dedicating those simple, redundant actions to making a lot of money between us. So it's a Mob They Want, Eh?

As you can see at the website to my MySpace (Simply Click the Title of this Entry), there's a popular application there called "Mobsters". Apparently there are people with well over five hundred "mobster" buddies in their affiliate networks and in the game they've accrued trillions upon trillions of dollars... in pretend.

That's fine and dandy folks. As a matter of fact, I promote this type of activity at EVERY turn.

Wanna know why?

Because these folks are born internet marketers waiting to happen. They don't realize that potential that they have if they'd simply apply the same dedication to building a business and a downline as they apply towards getting "mobster" friends and establishing a mob empire. For example...

If I were to bring in 500 people to GDI who all stayed with the company and with me, earning progressively larger and larger checks each month, then I would have a five hundred dollar paycheck coming to me EVERY MONTH just from the people in my "mob".

If each of those people were to bring in ten people.... Well holy bananas guys... The GDI calculator is MEANT to explain this kinda thing so check it out at

especially if you don't believe me when I tell you that you'd be making close to sixty-seven MILLION dollars a year. Go. Check the math. That's a dollar for each person in your first level (500) and every person below you bringing 20 people in for five levels deep. You'd make close to seventy [70] MILLION dollars in a year.

That's $5,555,500 a month.

So if GDI only costs ten dollars a month... and there are people who establish 500 friends out of NOWHERE on mobsters within a year... It makes TOTAL sense to me for these guys and gals to chock up the ten a month and spread this system like they spread their mobs.

Could you imagine what it would be like to make over five million dollars a MONTH?! You could invariably buy islands. You'd be among the most highly paid people in the world in a matter of decades. You'd be able to buy FLEETS of airplanes. In all reasonability, you could pay top entertainers like Harrison Ford and John Travolta to perform theatrical episodes of the "Odd Couple" in your 10,000 square foot living room adorned with authentic Roman artifacts and 23 karat gold statues of YOURSELF.

Now that'd be pretty sweet.

Think about it this way too - you could become the greatest philanthopist of all time. You could personally finance the school system of an entire city and ensure that EVERY student in that city got into college. Your name would be written across every plaque of every building's entrance. There would be streets named after you.

Needless to say, you could do a LOT of things with that kind of money.

First and foremost being...

You'd have one HECKUVA computer to play Mobsters on and only the bangin-est LAN parties to play during.

So let's start up a new game. It's called, "Let's See Who Can Get Rich Doing What We've Been Doing for Free".

Welcome to Earning through GDI

Hey there! First and foremost I want any of you that haven't seen the video yet to click on the title of this blog. You'll be redirected to a page that'll explain everything about GDI, how it works, what is possible through the company and more. So take a second to do that. Even if you've seen the video and are on the fence about joining our company, do yourself a favor and watch over it again. Just one quick look often doesn't do it justice.

Ok! Now that we're all on the same page, my name is Jason Mueller and I saw that video roughly four years ago. You know what I did after seeing that video? I exited the window, I chuckled to myself and I said, "income for life my foot..." and walked downstairs to have a sandwich. Well, now here I am four [4] years later with nothing to show for my distrust except an empty (or nearly empty) wallet.

Perhaps the most powerful thing about this video is that it has the ability to motivate people towards bettering their own lives and situations. People's lives and situations are often filled with things that aren't relevant. I know several people who work at jobs that they don't like JUST to get paid! Well, I can safely say that I enjoy your company, I love writing and I also get a kick out of seeing people join my GDI network! Since I saw that video four years ago, I've earned an Associate's Degree in Business. I bet though, had I started my own business before school, I would have been making more money without college than with it! Life is full of little ironies like these.

Most importantly I want to reiterate to you that it took me four years to come back to GDI to appreciate the income potential first hand. I didn't believe it: I'm sure that a lot of you don't. It is possible though. Brian, Tissa and James are all leaders on the GDI boards and I know first hand that they only got there in the short months that I've been a part of this company. Which means simply that they weren't the top earners before and they worked their way there. Also, the top earners before these three are still making money. They're earning off of their downlines which INCLUDE the current top earners. Had I started four years ago, I would have been four years ahead in networking, earning and creating. Instead I am starting now for the first time, all because I doubted the system.

What I intend on doing with this blog is hopefully reaching a wide audience base that is confused, skepitcal or interested in GDI so that they may make the most of what GDI has to offer them before they wind up like me - years down the road and not a penny to show for it! We all could use some more income for life so let's band together and start this internet crusade. Change in America is coming: is change coming to your living room, bedroom or computer room also?
